Hello? does anybody read blogs anymore??

We finally have the 'world at our fingertips', in our home, for the first time. Blogging will be a whole lot easier to do now, but it seems like "Blogger" has become a lost art. Too bad. To those that still continue to visit this world, hello.

Europe: I still have those posts. As promised, they will be posted... 3 years after the trip. Finishing that project moved way waaaay down on the priority list.

Check this out!

The Boise temple has been closed for the last year for re-construction. It is open again, for tours right now, before it is re-dedicated and will be closed again for the general public . We went on a tour last Saturday, it is Beeeeautiful!! Lots of new stain glass windows, paintings, new landscape, etc. There is an incredible peaceful and reverant feeling on the grounds and inside of the temple.  Check out the website:      boisemormontemple.org

P.S. someday you WILL get to see more about the Europe trip. The blog format keeps changing and messing up previous work, Just so you know we haven't forgotten. ;-)

In memory of "Baby"

"Baby" joined our lives June 2010 when we went to a bed and breakfast ranch for our 4th wedding anniversary. The owners of the Bed and Breakfast had too many rabbits, so they were giving them to the guests for free. He was our first pet. We kept him inside of the house until the last two weeks of his life, when Jennifer decided to experiment and see how he would do outside. Once he tasted freedom, he didn't want to come back. He was caught, though, and put into his cage. We left the cage outside and forgot about it while we left the house for the day. Monday August 8, 2011 Jennifer found Baby dead. It was hot, he wasn't in the shade, we assume he died of heat exhaustion.

Jarom cutting Baby's nails

Always curious and hungry. He got up onto the table, knocked down the plant pot, ate most of the Christmas cactus, and hopped away like nothing happened.

He liked to dig and scratch. In attempt to save our rug and recliner (which are pretty scratched apart), Jarom and "R" made a hideaway with a box and carpet samples. Here is Baby inside without the lid on top.

Doing some tricks.

Right after being let out of his cage into the backyard (don't mind the messy porch, it looks much better now).

Memories

*smuggling him onto a train in a camera case

*buying necessary rabbit equipment and learning how to take care of him

*his first time in his new cage, while he was small. He was so excited

*when he was little and let us hold him, there was a big loud lightning and thunderstorm, Baby snuggled up to Jennifer

*Jen would play the piano and sing, he'd sit on his perch in his cage and listen

*when people tried to exercise, while he was out of his cage, he would jump around their legs and try to play

*taking him and all of his stuff with us on trips

*giving him a bath

*he was the perfect ice breaker when all of our foster children first came to our home

*we have some great pictures of Baby with the foster kids (we can't post on here)

*children loved him and looked forward to coming to see him at our house

*he was always curious (sometimes that wasn't a good thing)

*good conversation topic
