This is our two years anniversary. We took a trip to Glacier National Park for one weekend and hiked over 25 miles. It was the best trip ever.
Here is Jen and the moose that we saw. You have to look real hard for the moose
And of course Me with a crazy stump.
We celebrated our 2nd anniversary this year on June 23rd ! Jarom surprised Jennifer with a trip to Glacier National Park, in Montana. We drove to the gorgeous northern part of Idaho and camped overnight before continuing our 12 hour drive. We stayed inside the park in the Many Glacier area in a motor inn. We had a small two room cabin without a bathroom, and freezing cold running water.
We enjoyed “roughing it”. We were at Glacier National Park for three days. The park had just opened a few weeks earlier, there was still a lot of snow, but the weather was warm and gorgeous!

We went on a small hike that first evening, and wandered around the area we were staying in. The next day we hiked to Iceberg Lake.
There was still a lot of snow up there, so we didn’t get the full effect of the icebergs as there would be later in the season, but it was still incredibly beautiful. The next day we hiked around Sherburne lake and all the way to Cracker lake , we weren’t planning on going all the way up, but people coming down kept saying how wonderful it was, so we ended up making the hike, though we weren’t as prepared with food and water as we would have liked. The people were right, Cracker lake was very wonderful, with the turquoise, clear as glass looking lake. Along with the beauty of nature we saw all kinds of wild animals: moose, mountain goats, big horned sheep, deer, antelope, yellow bellied marmots, birds, brown grizzly cub, etc. We realized, after our feet and legs were sore at the end of our trip, that we hiked over 25 miles in those few days! On our way home we stopped at the capital of Montana, Helena, we looked around, had lunch and continued on our way. We took the freeway and drove south through Montana, eastern Idaho and back up to Boise. It was a Great not to be forgotten trip.
