Here's another another late post...

Monday July 5 - Sunday July 11 (2010), Jen went to Colorado with the family she nannied for. Also, this last weekend (Friday Feb. 18- Monday the 21st 2011) she got to go to Denver again with the same family. Sorry no new pictures. They stayed in the same hotel and went to a few museums. It wasn't as exciting as the first trip to Denver, but it was fun.

First stop (and first trip), Denver. Jennifer met up with the family, who had already been there a few days, at this very nice hotel....

While in Denver, Jen and the oldest boy went through the State capital

*Denver is known as "mile high city", this is why. (one mile above sea level)

Tuesday thru Thursday they stayed in Colorado Springs.
* A dinosaur museum, the picture below is a giant tortoise

Drove through the Garden of the Gods

Cheyanne Mountain Zoo - feeding the giraffes

The adults had tea at this old and gorgeous hotel, while Jen and the kids played around. Everyone later got together and had dinner here too.

Before leaving Colorado City to head back to Denver, the kids and Jen visited "Whits End". Jen used to listen to "Adventures in Odessy" story time on the radio all the time, it was fun going to this "Focus on the family" activity place. There were mostly pictures of the kids, which we don't want to post on here, but it was a great imaginitive place with a lot of different activities.
Jen and the family went to several other museums and activity places while in Colorado. Jen enjoyed time off, so she could walk or take the free bus down 16th street mall and hang out in the executive lounge (where there was food, drinks, comfy chairs, friendly people, etc.- which didn't cost any extra than what the family already paid to have those services).

Jen got to get together with some family in the Denver area. Jen's mom's aunt Pam, her husband Richard with two of their children and their spouses. The black head in front is a dog. :-)

Date in Emmett

While taking our foster child to see his sister in Emmett we decided to go on a date.
Dinner and a movie, simple but fun.

This is Emmett at night.

And a pic from the same spot during the day.

Another late post...

May 8, this year was the Komen Race For The (breast cancer) Cure. Jen's cousin Amy invited her to participate in the walk/run and join her team, "Scentsy". Scentsy was a HUGE team. Probably helped that the company was SO generous and paid the $20(?) registration fee.

Some of the MANY participants!

Jen invited our friend Kristi to join. (The green shirts are team Scentsy)

It was a great event to be a part of. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH to those that donated $ for the cause. My personal goal was $150 and I reached it!!!!!

Mud Lake year #2

This last weekend we went to Mud Lake with a few of our friends....

Here are Thing 1 and Thing 2 hanging out with the twins.

Thing 1 found a frog and, of course, had to catch it. He was then the center of attention for a while until he was convinced to let the poor thing go.

*F.Y.I. no pictures or names of the boys on the blog, for security purposes*

Here we are checking out the view.

And Jarom showing off the bug he caught.
